The Mummy Tomb of the Dragon Emperor Movie Review

BOTTOM LINE: is on his own, this film is a big disappointment. In previous films than Mom, is even more disappointing. None of fun, adventure and thrills are in this mess, tasteless trip, not even close to the standard set by previous entries in this franchise.

The good: As the mother enters the third series, it was time to change course away from Egypt and directors choseExploit ancient history of China based on the mummy of an ancient Chinese emperor (a perfectly cast Jet Li) in ancient China ruled the millions, but was under a curse of eternal queen Zi Juan (again, a perfectly cast Michelle Yeoh) 's murder her lover General Ming, who was the emperor's right hand. Trapped in stone, was a warning in the course of history has never been done to break the curse otherwise the ascent of the Emperor and enslave humanity. It 's basically the same reasons as aboveMovie with different landscapes and actors that goes well, we do not expect more than that of a movie like this.

Brendan Fraser returns as Rick O'Connell, and along with Evie (Maria Bello a re-cast), China, who go on a mission, but discovered that his son Alex (Luke Ford) has unearthed the emperor and Watch put on the museum. Before you can blink, raise to a group of Chinese soldiers of the emperor and all hell breaks loose loose. The performance of Jet Li as a mummy thisNow it's different, but well done. And 'clay-based, as with his terracotta army, and has control of the five elements, can also do cool things like spitting fire and ice make for sharp impaling his enemies means. Michelle Yeoh's character is as big as Juan Zi, most of the explanation of what the emperor is up to what he must do to defeat him. An unexpected surprise was the use of the Yeti, or in this case, three of them coming to help our heroesRequest. The film has some interesting things, but ...

The bad: This movie is an excellent example of a study / commission-based crap designed to pierce the formula in hopes of generating the expected level of revenue. I have no doubt that the Mummy 3 will draw in hundreds of millions, but the absolute lack of quality, direction and fun in this installment of this series, the audience turn, if not necessary. The reason is the mummy andworked for The Mummy Returns was inspired because of a sense of direction and staging by director Stephen Sommers (who is not a master by any means, but it's a real director). Rob Cohen is on the other hand seems to have no contact on the material, the film is lifeless, insipid and poorly shot.

The actors appear to be playing. I felt sorry for Brendan Fraser, the poor fellow had not only repeated his old power, but was against Maria Bello, who is a gamegood actress, but you can not replicate the nature of Rachel Weisz as Evie, leaving Fraser seemed to have lost most of the time. Alex's character is not so great, I really hoped he would return with food mom at some point. The first epic on-screen fight between Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh is massively underwhelming, is not only so long, but has not done well. The revolt of the 'undead army general works Ming at first, but eventually the film floating in a heavy dependenceCG, which is a disorder of all movies mother, but somehow, because the rest of the film, then do not. Overall, I am disappointed by this film that I wasted my money on, hoping that the franchise can rest before it gets worse than this lame duck effort.
