Platoon (1986), received eight nominations in 1987 and four Oscars (best director for Oliver Stone, the best film by Arnold Kopelson, Best Sound and Best Editing Claire Simpson) is a film about the Vietnam War "suffering of war" approach base as a film. There is also a courageous and in-your-face view the chaotic nature of war and the taboo of "friendly fire".
viewed from the perspective of 2006, and as in many other VietnamFilms like Apocalypse Now and Full Metal Jacket in 1986, it has become clear to me that this is still one of the tamer examples of gender and law. This is still comfortable on the legs as a set with his playing time and also working a case against a huge disappointment, proof that the soldiers who are assigned tasks to death infested swamps of Vietnam, were perhaps the last out fault.
The film, shot in the jungles of the Philippines, the prohibition has ahigh-powered jet, Tom Berenger (as SSgt. Bob Barnes), Willem Dafoe (Sergeant Elias Grodin), a 18-year-old Charlie Sheen (Pvt Chris Taylor), Johnny Depp (Pvt Gator Lerner), Forest Whitaker (Big Harold), Francesco Quinn (son of the great Anthony Quinn, as Rhah), to name a few.
Letter from Oliver Stone (who won an Oscar in 1978 for his film Midnight Express and another Best Director Oscar in 1989 for Born on July 4) is well, maintaining a good pacebetween scenes of struggle and reflection. The dialogues are sharp and realistic.
The voiceover of the main character Chris Taylor is expected without treatment, because it addresses Grandma Taylor. I thought that was such a poignant sense of lost youth to the private world, not even a girl yet to take refuge in the wisdom of his grandmother, while all hell is about to break him.
The action is the development of point of view of Pvt Taylor, reallyhave too much meat in it. This film seems to character and setting on the critical situation and context, rather than on clever twists and turns. It can be summarized as a train or a long history of engaging the Viet Cong in snail and snake suspend infected jungle swamps, often in tropical rain or stoned on their head to the shocking reality for an hour or two.
When the two top dogs of the train, over-the-board SSgt nihilist. Barnes and Sgt Eliasmay still be on the conscience and the fundamental moral values that clash head on the left, the train is divided into two warring factions. The outcome of these disputes and the increasing bitterness is not good.
The horrors of war with metaphysical playwright-of-a-kind films such as Apocalypse Now has been suspended. Platoon is not as deep, but it is still a real war movie in Vietnam, see the list should be on every fan film unmissable.
