High Plains Drifter - 3 Stars (Good)
"High Plains Drifter" was one of the best films of Clint Eastwood-Western-loved, and also the first film he directed and conducted. His role as The Man With No Name "in his introduction to the three now famous spaghetti westerns that progress continues," A fistful of dollars, "" For a Few Dollars More and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
Published in 1973, High Plains Drifter is a stranger (Clint Eastwood), the lake, amining town eager to murder, whose prominent businessmen conspiring when he discovered his sheriff their income-producing mine just happens to threaten the country and the government will be unmasked.
Marshal Sheriff Jim Duncan (Buddy Van Horn), for the deaths of three assassins, Stacey Bridges (Geoffrey Lewis), Bill Borders (Scott Walker) and Cole Carlin (Anthony James) whipping. Nobody lifts a finger to help Marshal Duncan, and is buried in an unmarked grave.
The threeThe murderers have the time and should be released. They target a return to the lake and take out revenge on its inhabitants. The knowledge that one day will return, the city rent corrupt leaders three other boys to defend hard when yields murderess.
Regrettably, they have a little problem. The three tough guys to decide Bully The Man With No Name shortly after his arrival in town and orders a drink at the local watering hole. In front and behind the wall, the strangerimmediately kills everyone in a gunfight. The leaders of the city in a panic because they are the three words murderers have been released and taken direct to our lake to replace the rent to foreigners three tough guys dead now.
The Man With No Name soon discovers that it is an honest man struggling lake, including replacing corrupt Sheriff Sam Shaw (Walter Barnes). He tried to teach them to defend themselves as incompetent, but the task is tedious and unnecessary. It has all theBuildings in the town painted red to unsettle the uninvited guests. Then the stranger leaves town and people are left to themselves.
Bridges take, boundaries and Carlin city driving and more, the killing on the road and remember to put all that their lives are at stake. Then the man with no name returns and what happened next, why should you see High Plains Drifter.
This is a violent film. At one point, beginning to tease the city and the wife of the owner of mines,Callie Travers (Mariana Hill), can draw the stranger in his sting in the barn for a sexual encounter. conspire Elsewhere, before the return murderess, a couple of unlucky business to foreigners with little success, as the stranger goes beyond the hotel to kill and kill all four of them on the road. Another meeting is the name of a man without letters from his wife of hotelier, Sarah Belding (Verna Bloom).
Despite rumors of murder and man withNo name, he is the "nice guy good in the film, because revenge the assassination of Marshal Jim Duncan. The stranger just happens to be the only man in history with the bullets and the ability to fight for his macho image.
Nobody plays the legendary Clint Eastwood Macho. He does not want to put a lot and not just in name, he settled the score and solve problems that no one else can.
High Plains Drifter, like many of Eastwood's previous film, I have not receivedThe recognition of the film industry. I like Clint Eastwood as an actor and it shows. I would like this film an excellent rating, but may be due to a director first fault: the Man With No Name adopted by most of the spectators, that the unknown brother or family member come to the lake must be revenge.
In fact, director Clint Eastwood meant The Man With No Name sergeant Jim Duncan, an out-of-place surreal attempt to make much sense, viewers are taken. AlsoAuditors take over the world continue to believe that once again, not as a foreigner Marshal Duncan.
In an interview after "Inside the Actor's Studio" in 1994 a 1,921 years Eastwood has made clear that the interpretation favored less explicit and supernatural. Fortunately Eastwood came across this idea in subsequent films in which both star and director, and would continue to earn up to five Oscars and six other Oscar nominations for his work.
